Autumn Haze

This is a piece that was designed by Laura J. Perin and is a free pattern on her website. The Wine Country Chapter of ANG did a “Surprise Project” in March of 2009 and the object was for people to work with colors that were outside their comfort zone. A variegated thread trade occurred in January of that year and then everyone was given a supply list of the additional things needed besides the variegated thread for the project. They were then given the pattern at the March program that Janet Perry led. Since I was stitching a model for the program in advance, I called Fireside Stitchery and told them the types of supplies that I needed and told them not to have purples in the variegated, as that is my favorite color and I wanted to work outside my normal colors also. They sent me this package within a few days and I loved what they sent. They were not colors that I probably would have picked, but absolutely fell in love with them.

You can find information on Laura J. Perin and her pieces on her website at http://laurajperindesigns.tripod.com/index.htm. She teaches and she has a Cyber Class listed on her website that will be closing on March 20, 2011.

You can find information on the American Needlepoint Guild and where chapters are located on the ANG website at http://www.needlepoint.org/index.php.

You can find infomration about Fireside Stitchery on their website at http://www.firesidestitchery.com/FS/index.cfm.  They are a brick and mortar store located in Frazer, Pensylvania and also do lots of mail order business.  I have no financial interst in them, but have never been dissapointed in the service or products received from them.

  2. Very pretty. It is nice to work with different colors. Color choice is difficult and Fireside did a nice job.
